All right. My name is Dr. Clayton Schumacher from Cohn Health Institute. Today, I wanted to talk more about the CES Ultra or the cranial electrotherapy stimulator. So, the big buzzword nowadays is Vagus Nerve Stimulation. You can buy so many different tools so many different things. It is sometimes hard for patients to afford some of this stuff. This is a good at home unit that is very very affordable. So, first off, how does it work? You just see it is a simple unit. Right here, you just plug it in. There are different things you can plug into it, such as these earpieces which go either over the tragus or on your earlobe right here. Then, it produces a current. I will just put those on. It produces a current. What you want to do is you want to turn it on just until you feel that buzz. Then, you turn it down and just til you barely feel that buzzing sensation. What this does, what the FDA approved so far, is it helps with insomnia and with anxiety. So, again, anything that stimulates or helps that vagus nerve is going to help with that fight or flight, calm the nervous system down, and things like that. Again, with this, it is amazing by itself. Again, this is a stacking summit, so it is amazing to do this along with other tools in your toolchest, in order to decrease that fight or flight response, get you in a more calm mindset, pretty much. Then, you can heal. Because, you cannot really heal when you are being attacked by a bear or have that nervous system that is just on edge all the time, or that dysotonomia or the whole gamut, you name it. It is very hard to heal when your body is so stressed out and your nervous system is on fight or flight. So, this is just another tool that you can use. It is recommended to use it for about 45 minutes, once or twice a day. Then, do not use it at night because a lot of people think, ‘Oh! It is going to help me fall asleep, it is going to help me relax at night.’ But actually, if you do it right before bedtime, it can do the opposite and make you feel just a little bit more, not wired, but have a little bit more energy. So that we do not want to do that, it is best to use it about four or five hours before bedtime. Then, even before so, again, this is FDA approved for the insomnia which is that lack of sleep, as well as, anxiety. But, if you think about what the vagus nerve does, it does a lot more than that. So, pretty much just kind of think about anything that stimulating the vagus nerve and supporting that vagus nerve and the nervous system what that can do. Then, this can help with a lot of those issues, as well. So, I love it. I have my own unit and I use. I try to use it daily. Sometimes, I forget, but it is definitely a stacking effect.
